Cobra Hatchlings Released

Ten common cobra (Naja naja) hatchlings were safely released inside the forest of Banbatika Research Center under the supervision of Mr. Baburam Aryal- President of Banbatika Research Center, Mr. Ashish Bashyal- President of Biodiversity Conservancy Nepal, and Mr. Kamal Devkota- Conservation Biologist. These eggs were rescued from the Nawalparasi district by Mr. Devkota. Common cobra is responsible for numerous snake-bite incidents in rural Terai of Nepal and as such generally suffers retaliation killings.
